sorry, just got on this thread and saw this comment, i had headers before i had my test pipe, the headers did make my check engine light go off, but this was before RRM said so on theyre site, like 2 x-mas's ago or so, anyway, so i took the headers off, then i got my test pipe, the exhaust is deeper, runs way better then with the headers, and plus NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT haha, and easily taken off if needed unlike headers,

anyway, im gonna read the rest of the thread because odds are im gonna buy a piggy back soon, i heard it increases gas mileage because its so kick ***

one of the main reasons that civic will beat you involves 8 little letters DOHC (dual over head cam) and VTEC (valve timing electonic control), our cars dont have either, we have tourqe compared to a honda engine, but then again, thats where the VTEC comes in again in making up for the low end tourqe and reving higher, you'll keep up with him till you have to shift, then you back in lower RPM's and his VTEC will have just of kicked in at 5200rpms and still giving more power to the floor, honestly the only civics worth racing are the 04' 1.7lt SOHC's, which we can actually beat even though they have a simular vtec system, but still only one cam just like us

i know this personally from racing my friends celica GT-S, once that second cam kicked in, i was ****kked

To add to that... that is the same reason a 1.8l corrola DOHC can keep up with our car... two cams are better than one!!

hey beanutoo, the piggyback is the best mod for the lancer, to install it, u just splice it into ur ecu, maybe a 30 min install. n den u have to follow some directions, cuz the Piggyback has to adjust to ur car, n in order to do that u have to reset the battery n drive conservatively for a about 150 miles, n den dere u go. it should start working perfectly, u can do that everytime u add on a new mod. and the piggyback gives a 10 to 15% gain... but with more mods u have it does a bit more with the gains. with a cold air, and a custom catback, i ran 16.5 at the track, w/ the piggyback of course. i'ld im you but its kinda hard since i am at work like 10 hours a day, i have 9 to 5 jobs. just email me wateva questions n concerns u have at viciouzreddragon@yahoo.com

Moving to the newbie forum. 1. this has nothing to do with forced induction, 2. it could have been answered by running a search and 3. it's been asked scores of times.
