Spoke to my dealer today. He said they were only desonated 1 Mr evo. If I wanted it to put down $500 and it will be mine.(If I like It when it gets here) So i ordered a white one and it should be here 2 or 3 months. I have it in writing $1000 over invoice for the car since i'm ordering it so soon. Will let you know more when i know more

They didn't have one yet. I purchased my wife a new 01 Eclipse Gt from this guy 3 years ago and he seems perty straight and didn't even want a deposit on the car (said i was good for it) But i wanted some assurance. The sales manager said he would call me with a list of options and the would tell me invoice price with options (if any). It will be ordered on 7/28/04

 

The 05 Evo GSR wont be short in performace at all compared to the MR, but it will cost a crapload less. I understand people think the MR is that much better, but MMA cheaped us out again and we don't get the nice interior or any huge features that separate the models other than the transmission and the aluminum roof that saves 6 pounds. Otherwise, all the models get the upgraded turbo, the aluminum side impact beams, the ACD (no mention of the S-AYC), and LARGER cupholder. Do you know how much development went into that cup holder....

 

....so much R&D that it's put them into bankrupcy

 

until its in writing it doesn't mean jack.. I went to mitsu 2 years ago offering to pay for a 2003 EVO VIII in full and they opened a mag and showed me an EVO VII and said this is exactly what we are getting.. that was a load of crock

 

nissan and honda were in the same boat as mitsu is in the 90's, nissan was in lots more trouble than honda but more than likley mitsu will pull out of it.

I don't know. 05's got a lot of cars coming out. I would of waited and gotten the new mustang GT if I wasn't so impulsive.

 

theres like 1800 mark up in an evo due to the fact the 05's wont have any dealer incentives like the 03's and 04's

 

Ur a car salesmans dream. You dont know the MRSP or with what options you will be stuck with etc....... Guess you will be happy with a mitsubushi costing u near 40 grand. Me personally the RS isthe best choice. A TRACK ready monster.

Backup a sec., I said i did not know invoice or msrp dealer told me msrp will be around 32K. Which means invoice will be less. This is not the first car i have bought. I do not have a problem paying 32 for the car. Look at what people were paying for 03 Evo's. This thing has more standard features than it for the same money. The STi is still 33-34K So ballpark of 31 is not looking too bad.

 

You gotta love it when someone assumes you're an idiot and too stupid to buy a car for a fair price. "oh sure Mr. Dealer, I'll pay $5000 for the undercoating and paint sealer" NOT! As he mentioned, he's done this before and is confident in the deal he'll get. And guess what, if he doesnt' get what he wants, he walks away and it cost him nothing. Never assume people are stupid!
