central locking horn

central locking horn

can someone help me to cut the horn signal when i close my evo VIII opening is loudless but when i close it honks. can i cut this signal easy, any ideas?

I actually like the horn chirp...it helps confirm that the car is locked if I'm walking away and don't see the lights flash...

i turned mine off - i hate that horn! it's called the answerback function.

just follow these directions using your remote:

1) press the LOCK button for 4 to 10 seconds and press the UNLOCK button during this time.
2) release the LOCk and UNLOCK buttons at the same time.

each time the answrback function is set, a buzzer will sound to tell you the condition of the confirmation function.

one buzzer: the horn will sound if the doors are locked with the remote. will sound whether or not the doors are already locked.

two buzzers: the horn will not sound at all.

three buzzers: the horn will only sound if the doors are already locked. this way, you can press the LOCK button once with no horn, and then press it again if you want the system to answerback.
