Post Hks Ssqv Bov (evo 8)

I recently installed an HKS SSQV BOV. I thought i was going to get trouble like a check engine or something like that. But so Far so good. I am running it straight to the atmosphere. With out a recirculation kit.

I wanted to know if anyone could give me some feed back on some experiences youve had with this or any BOV running it to the atmosphere. The car is just a month old and anything any body could help me with it would be greatly appreciated...

I don't get it? If it's running fine then why are you posting asking for questions? lol. Usually VTA bovs make the car stall out unless you get the HKS EIDS or somthing else to solve the stalling.

It depends on the car. On some of them it hurts performance and others it doesn't bother the car. The only adverse effect is when you shift the ECU tells the car to dump more fuel causing a RICH condition. Which over time can be bad for the car.

i ran it VTA for a few days... didn't really have any issues with stalling (just depends on driving style) the only thing i noticed was the way the engine behaves between shifts. Wasn't smooth at all so i went back to recirc.

I honestly have no idea, you should probally ask vinshu about that one. The whole concept of the HKS EIDS is that it slows down the signal between the MAF and the ECU so it the rpms decrease slower when getting off the gas so you don't stall out. To me it seems that the HKS EIDS would cause a loss of power so I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who drag races alot.

i have it VTA right now.. i also have the Emanage set to not stall... got the recirc kit on the way from HKS... i can't deal with the CEL.. my mitsu mechanic told me that it was code p0102 which is a low voltage reading on the MAF sensor.... that sum ***** is loud though... i've already scared a few bums off the street...
