If Mitsu folds, are we all ****ed???

In looking at various financial analysis, it is obvious that Mitsu is in trouble. What my question really is; if Mitsu folds, are we al ****ed?
Obviously, our warranties are shot. I can live with this, as that gives me the green light to go ahead and mod!! More troubling is parts availability. If Mitsu is bankrupt, do we still have access to the parts we need? Are there enough parts and after-market stuff available to keep us afloat. Where can we get our cars fixed in the future, and what will be the cost?? What about the long term aspect?? Would that make our evos even more desireable, or will we be just plain SOL? Just wanted everyone's feedback on a topic I feel we should be more concerned about!!

I dont think mitsu will ever go belly up. If it does im sure some other car company would buy it out and keep it running.

if you've ever worked in a 1g or 2g turbo eclipse, you can work on an evo

I wouldn't sweat it.. The warranty stuff would be handled by whoever aquired the assets of Mitsubishi. Truth is its unlikely mitsubishi will go out of business, may just need some help..

mitsu's company that makes cars is having finacial trouble, but pretty much so is every other company that manufactures automobiles. worse case scnario, they get bought out, with our luck probably by dodge. there is a law that says if you build a car to be sold in america you have to keep making parts, or subcontract the fabrication of parts to someone, those parts have to be available for at least 10yrs. i learned that on the history channel. they were talking about the downfall of studebaker.

Yep, thats absolutely true.. Also there will be someone around to honor the warranties of the cars whether its mitsubishi as we know it now, I don't know..

There's plenty of mitsubishi's on the road, more than I ever realized so parts and people with the knowledge of servicing them will never be an issue.

If Mitsu folds

Ford money has done wonders for Jaguar and Aston Martin. They seem to give Volvo a free hand in in there design so it could be a good thing.
