Subwoofer Install in Trunk

Ok guys. Does anyone have any instructions on how to install an Infinity BassLink X sub in my trunk? I also have an XM tuner that goes with my Pioneer head unit that I will be installing soon.

I was wondering where I route the positive wire and the RCA wires to the front. Should I route the power on the driver’s side to the firewall hole in the front and the RCA down the center console?

Any advice would be helpful. Also pictures would be welcomed.

Thanks.

You can run the cables together. You won't hear any noise with the basslink, and there are 12V power wires everywhere in your car anyway. Make sure you have a good clean ground to bare metal.

Routing Wires for the Sub

Great! So can put the BaseLink in the trunk and get power from one of the reverse or parking lights? I thought I had to run it to the battery.

I saw how the back seat of the trunk was not vertical and was thinking of where to mount the unit.

I also wanted to know how to route the XM Radio ant. to the roof. I was thinking of going from the trunk to the top where the stock antenna is.

Anyway, thanks for the help!

That 12V needs to be hooked up to the battery. It draws to much current to use anything else. if the signal is run using RCA cables, they yes separate the two, if it is a IP or Bus cable it would not matter.

i had to make a hole on the passager side firewall to run the power cable for the reason that there isnt a rubber piece on the driver side. looks clean and i found it easier to run the cable that way. but you to waterproof the hole you make.

Lightbulb Where to mount Infinity Baselink X?

Ok,

I have the sub ready to install, but I am looking on where should I put it? The bottom of the trunk floor? On one of the sides?

I looked behind the back of the trunk and there is nothing to bolt it to.

I am thinking now of bolting it to a rectangle board and push it to the back as there is no where to bolt it to!

I have not even thought of where I will route the wires, but the mount point is most important!

I do know that the Baselink will need to pint twords the back of the car for best sound.

I have looked all over for a install guide for my car but have found nothing for the Evolution.

What to do....
