who drives their EVO for long distances?
18,100 miles.. I picked up the car May 8th, have been away (car just sat at the airport) for 4 weeks of that.
So 18k in about 14 weeks...
Just replaced the Advans today..
Car is still fun, no major problems, except an intercooler hose that kept blowing off (warranty), and that it will be worthless long before my loan is...

I drive close to 1000k on mine right now a week. It is a great car to have on the highway. As for the ride is conserned, it is perfect. When your cruising at 90+mph it is as smooth as a sail boat. Now if you decide to do some mods you might want to keep it to a very bare minimum. Your gas is going to go like *$#%. At least thats what mine did.
It is a lot of fun to 'open' up your car too.
IT IS A GOOD BUY. BUT KEEP ONTO YOUR 1G DSM, TOO!!!!

The previous posts have covered it all. The good far outweighs the bad. I drive from Chicago to Ann Arbor six times during football season and the Evo is the best car for this type of trip.
Only thing not mentioned so far is the radio. Get a radio that plays MP3's. I have a Sony. I put in one CD with 150 songs and it lasts for a whole trip. It's great not to have to fool around changing music on a long trip.
