P0139 SES Code - details of possible fix...
I searched and didn't see that anyone had come up with any definitive resolution for this and nothing recent at all. I just got my Evo and the previous owner had a downpipe with a Greddy catback installed on the stock cat. I removed the cat and put in a test pipe and immediately got the SES light. I tried the anti-fouler method but the angle of the bung on the Greddy doesn't allow for two of the plugs so I put on one, but I still got the light. I then bought an o2 simulator off Ebay and hooked it up (correctly mind you, blue is signal, white is ground). I drove for 50 miles, got - DTC P0139: Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response. So my only guess was that of course with both hooked up the o2 sensor was reading too slowly so I disconnected the anti-fouler and left on the wired o2 simulator and that is now working. Just a tip, if you get the P0139 and have the anti-foulers then try a wired one and remove the anti-foulers first, that could be causing the car to throw that SES.
