Small Blurb in Nov. Motor Trend about 05 models

Just read in Motor Trend November 04 issue (page 168) a tiny article thats part of the One-Year test EVO article thats titled "What's New, Changed, Different"
In this, the author states the the 05 EVO RS will come with the aluminum roof, an aluminum shift knob and sport pedals, and the turbo-boost guage kit (Boost, voltage, Oil pressure) as standard equipment.

So this being said, the major differences between the MR and RS is the 6-speed transmission, carbon-fiber / aluminum brake handle, Bilstein struts, vortex generator, BBS wheels, and badging.
The article did not mention the weight of these vehicles.

It also said all the 2005 models will have the ACD, and larger "better Flowing" turbo.

Good info.

yeh... don't forget about the power windows, doors, and mirrors. not to mention a radio and sound deadening material throughout the vehicle. oh yeah, and a phat spoiler with carbon fiber being the majority of its make-up. and HIDS. yeh... i think that's all, heh.

as far as i know, the urban jungle package is "power windows/doorlocks, sound deadening material, etc"... the A/C comes standard i believe.. the reason i say this is cause on the '04 RS's we got in earlier this year all came with A/C, but no power windows or anything.

i also talked with a dealership that did receive one of the few '04 Urban Jungle Packaged RS's and stated there were only a few hundred made (not confirmed) and only a few dealership's were able to get em. they were sold out almost immediately of the Urban Jungle Packaged ones... all of the other RS's i've ever seen had A/C, so i'm not really sure...

When I read SCC, back when the RS was just about to make its debut, and the writers were complaining about the fact that it had no AC and their backs were getting sweaty. LOL! maybe they added it standard after that article.

As stated many times before in other RS threads, the Urban Jungle package doesn't exist. Orginally it was an option for the '04 RS that added A/C, power locks, power windows, and possibly a radio. Early in this year, mitsu pulled that option from their press releases.

_EVERY_ US Evo VIII (rs included) has A/C included as a standard feature.

There production run for the '04 RS was around 700, I believe.
