Any confirmation on the MR 5k cut off?
No it does not effect up shifts only when you launch, think about it....if u can't shift above 5k rpm how gay would that be, They only put the limit on wen u have ur clutch pressed down in first gear i believe so ppl wont ruin the clutch launchin above 5k all the time and ask for replacement under warrenty...cheapoz.

Kinda like the Galant. My little brother had a rental Galant one week, and we beat the crap out of it. What else are rentals for, eh?
One thing that I couldn't stand was that you couldn't gas it past a certain rpm (and it was very low) while the brake was on, to launch it (it was an auto).

no, the mr has more horsepower/torque
Sorry sir. All 2005 EVO's have the same 5 H.P. and 13 lb. of torque increase. The MR just advertises it.
My car has the 5000 R.P.M. cutoff. Basically if the clutch is depressed, the engine will not rev pass 5000. Even states it in the owners manual.
