Evo 9 Bumper Discussion
Heres a pic from the Tokyo Auto Salon. Better view of the front bumper. No foglights. But that Ralliart Lip is sweet. This was in the Ralliart Booth at the show. Been looking for more pictures but this all I have found so far.

hey whats up peoples? im new to the forums here so uh wudup? anyways to be honest, i really dont care for these front bumpers yet at the same time i didnt care much for the 8 bumpers. i couldnt give much explanation on this topic, it just doesnt meet my taste standards. the reason for the evo 9 being a bit on the throw back side is due to the fact that the 4g63 will go out of production after this generation. the evo's will continue on yet the legendary 4g63 powerplant will be replaced with a 4g93 powerplant. i've heard rumors of mitsu trying to push a gas direct or gdi into the wonderful world of evo's in the 4g93. this motor might almost displace upto 2.4 liters. the block wouldnt be much diffrent besides being a bit lighter. but this doesnt sound very good. if you look back, gdi technology hasnt been that great performance wise. yet at the same time, i've heard that people prefer these gdi tech engines to pull more power out of. which one of these statements should i believe? i dunno. anyways i know that this was a bumper topic so i'll keep this thread to a minimum.
If the IX comes stateside with all the equipment found on the '05 VIII plusAutomatic Climate Control, 6-Speed, S-AYC, MIVEC, and I could still get my Leather/Sun & Sound Package- I just might trade my '04 in for a new lightning yellow GSR.
Otherwise, I see myself adding a MIVEC head onto my '04 once its proven itself in the IX.
I just don't know if its worth spending any more money and modding out my VIII. What are your thoughts?

I think you should just slow down or stop modding until we know FOR SURE what is comming on the IX. For all we know, it could just have leather and MIVEC and not the auto climate control or S-AYC. But if it does come with everything listed above, I will be camped outside my Mitsubishi dealer to be the first one in Tampa to get one. So lets all say a prayer we get the goodies!
