Heres my situation, im infatuated with the evolution, ha like you all, i want one so bad, but i wanna get one for the best price, so my plan is to wait for the evo 9 to come out, in the late year i guess its projected, and then buy an 8, i know that when a new model comes out, the year before will always price drop, im just wondering how much do you think the price on the used evo's will drop in the next 7 months or so and how much it will drop with the new 9 coming out? anyone have some estimation? 1 grand, 2 grand? none?

i got a silver mr for 1100 under msrp today ( not including all the after BS)

 

Hell, Why stop there. You can wait for the X and pay only 20 or so grand for a worn out MR!

i dont care if you got an mr? for under 1100, off topic, and i guess people dont understand what iron block and forged internals mean do they? VERY STRONG! evo's with 20,000 miles on them is nothing in my opinion.......

and also, who really cares about the mr? same engine practically, a couple different things on the outside, i mean we buy our cars because we are tuners, meaning we are going to mod our cars either way, so why pay that extra 6 grand or whatever, when you could buy a regular 8 and put 6 grand into it yourself . . . . ? much more worth it if you ask me

look at it this way, for the MR, they didn't want to budge at all. There aren't that many out there still, with the regular 8? i'm sure theres more. however, i think you believe that because the IX's are out, you're gonna get an 8 for like 20k. won't happen.

what the hell are you talking about warmpepsi, you must not have car shopped that much, theres evo 8's with 15000 miles on them going for 24 right now, ive seen 8's for as low as 21500, with 25000 miles on them, you need to get your facts right, the resale is going down fast, hate to burst your bubble, and well go down even faster once the 9 hits our shores, and im guessing you wanted 6 speed to be cool cuz you have "6 gears" , even though the 5 speed is just fine for the 4g63, the highway speed is practically the same at the same rpm, and you can get hid on the 8's as a package, lots of ones for sale already have this. . . . . .

 

Funny! I wanted MR for the Borged BBS wheels and an Aluminum roof that came on a car with AC and ABS. ...OOops, off topic?

yup, but none that fit me. Was sick of leather, and everyone swaps their stereo anyways.

regardless, it'll be another 2 1/2 years til the 10 comes out. My point was simple. If you find a car with only 20000 miles on it, thats 2 1/2 or 3 years old, you found a hell of a buy.

ok your telling me youd rather pay extra money so you could have those wheels, and the aluminum roof is hardly making any difference, hahaha, why not save the money and buy an 8, than maybe put some good wheels on there like some volks, that by the way would look 10 million times better, than something everyone else is gonna have, i think everyone who got an mr got jacked when nothing hardly changed, now if they had some fq's over here that would be a different story . . .

 

don't understand why so many ppl don't like the MR, including the regular evo guys....
this never happened in i-club with those subies with STi....
