Does anyone know if they are going to add black to the evo IX MR. would be nice if they did. Thanks.

 

Not absolutely certain on the colors yet, only the regular colors we do know of.
So Black might be a possibility, I have a picture of a black IX with BBS rims from the IX release in Japan from the Mitsu Japan Website, but it isn't very clear.
I have enhanced the brightness of the photo and it is definitely the IX cause of the front bumper.
It will probably come in Black cause of the way the Trim levels have been changed, the USDM MR trim is still basically the GSR trim around the world, see below.

cool, i was just wondering because im finally going to sell my GSX for an evo, i was hoping that the GSR was going to have a 6 speed with hids standard, but noooooo. The only color i want is black so hopin someone knew. I don't want to pay 3 grand for a pakage on the gsr which i don't want. If the MR doesn't come in black ill get a GSR and just buy hids for it.

Same here, I want black but I was going to go with the SSL package, but saw that the HIDs were only offered in that package, or as a stand alone package.
So I decided to get a Black IX MR (if available) and get the 6 speed, the Bilsteins, The BBS rims, the HID's, Vortex generator, and then see if the dealer can throw in the leather and Sound package, obviously the Sun / Moon roof will be substituted cause of the Aluminum roof.
But I figured for a little bit extra, I can have it the way I want. I will then nickname it my BK Evo (have it your way)

 

yea i know, mitsu is stupid. Its easy, 6 speed standard, also hids standard (GSR, MR) not in a 3 grand package, I don't want leather or sunroof or the crappy stereo upgrade.

 

I increased the brightness so you can see it is definitley the IX front bumper

 

dam the 9 looks bad *** in black especially with the BBS, hope its an MR not just some sort of MR look alike package.

 

I apologise for the crappy Picture, but that is all I have been able to find on a black one, and of course the black cars are the hardest to photograph and show the features and lines of the vehicle.
Part of the reason why they have been using Yellow and Silver alot for the photo shoots

Glad I could help lets just hope it comes in the Standard 6 Colors, I am sure there will be quite a few Black and Electric Blues sold

Burning Money that is where you are wrong, Take a closer look at the Brightened picture, I know it isn't very clear but that is all I have been able to find and it is the IX front bumper.
