I agree. I dont think that they will be super rare, but I think a well kept one would fetch a good price. The Evo has only been around in the U.S. for a few years and now they are making changes to the appearance, etc. with the X. I think that will help increase the value of these VIII's and IX's that we all have now.

I'll let you know in 20 years when I still have mine. It probably won't be considered a classic by the muscle-car dorks and concours snobs, but it will always have street cred.

I think it will be a cult classic, sort of like the Supra is. I don't think today's models will be forgotten. They will probably be remembered as the pinacle of affordable performance for their time.

You never know what might become collectible. The thing is to save it now if you can, if only for yourself.

Usually only STOCK cars are ever worth anything. I know, it's a heartbreaker on this website, but when a car is modded, usually only one person wants it like that, the one who did the mods. The more original it is, the more it's worth, anyone who collects cars can tell you.

I'm sure in 20 years, there will be Evo's showing up on GoogleEbayYahooWalmart with 10k miles on the clock or less.

I'll always remember that I wanted one.

That is true about RX7 and Supra. Those cars were never really popular here in Pittsburgh, but it's truly rare to see the last gen RX-7 or Supra around here.

I don't think anyone will ever forget the Evo, or the rivalry between the STi and Evo. When it comes to the imports, there is no rivalry quite as strong as this one. Think of it as an import version of Camaro Vs. Mustang. It's one of the greatest automotive rivalries in history.

in 40-50 years 100k will be like 20-30k is now... camaro new in 1979 5,000, camaro new in 2002 34,000. we all see the rust in the older thicker cars how well do you think these newer thinner made cars are gonna hold up over the years if treated the same way and sudject to the same conditions?
