That is more or less of what Mr Buschur offers on the Evos at the Mitsubishi dealers, a package that compromises performance with warranty and price.
In Europe you can get this type of similar packages for many cars, even in the USA(scion TC s/c) TOYOTA TRD S/C , SRT-4 mopar etc, etc

2. Don't compare UK car prices with US. FQ-320 over there IIRC costs GBP 32k or about USD 56k
Having said that I won't deny the DIY route will be cheaper I'm sure. FQ-400 already costs similar to the M3 in UK.

What????!!!! This isn't an FQ-500. It's just a tuned 511 hp Evo like you can get from many shops here. No Mitsu warranty, it's from:
"Owen Developments, who have just announced their latest tuning range. The Mitsubishi 'Big Power kit' provides, to unhinged Evo owners, up to 511bhp"

Owen Developments did help to create the FQ-400 but that was a one-shot to celebrate 30 years of Lancer in the UK. The new one is just more turbo and more tuning, etc. that can be done if you already own an FQ-400 and it's not factory at all.
