The interior really looks uncomfortable, but I've never rode in an IX but surly will.

I hate the undergoing of the dash and everything of it, I'm trying to like it but the more I try to fight to like it, the more I hate it. I also noticed paddle shifting will be introduced into the X, which is an "evolved" movement.

To me, I like the older IX-VIII-VII, in that order. Maybe it will grow on me, but with the prices of the IX's dropping when these things hit dealers, it's a sure way of me getting myself into an IX.

Just my little opinion after looking at it. Exterior doesn't really appeal to me, and maybe it will overtime, but as of now, the IX with MR tails is superb, IMO.

IMO the car looks a lot better that i though or better than i expected. The improvments of the car in terms of exterior/interiors its a major leap from the VIII and IX. The only thing left to see is horsepower!!!!.

What bugs me a bit about the proto is the headlights and the 20" wheels that we saw in the prototype, lets face it...this things wont make it to the production model,...headlights will be almost the same as the regular lancer and the wheels will be 18"..maybe.

My biggest concern is that Mitsu is shooting for a wider audience with this car...lets say BMW for example...and the simplicity of the raw performance and ride of the car could be lost....thats the thing i loved more about my EVO...it was simple...but did the job ( and in an amazing way i might add) that it was built for and that was performance first, ...everything else from the interiors to the exteriors came in second.....well...maybe be third

i agree with you on the looks but performance wise i'd have to go with the X. if having active yaw control with all that other good stuff (like increased hp and torque) is not enough for you then i don't know what is.

How do you know that the 9 is far superior than the x, when no none really knows yet what the x can really do. Man im sick of seeing threads like this"which one is better 9 or 10, or which one looks better", wtf just wait til the x comes out.........

do u know if you get a AMT it will weight more then the 5spd Mt, plus if you add the NAV and 650 watt sound systems that's where the 200 lb weight more comes from.... so now your evo x is going to weight like 3450...

i bet the MT is going to be 3200 to 3250...

also price will be %5 to % 10, i don't think it will be too much
cause there won't be too many people buying a $40,000 car compare to a 30,000 car am i right people ?

what does Evolution mean ? if one species stay the same then thats end for them
so there for people the EVO X will be better or it will be the end

Evo 8 front end looks bad too but in the end what happen ?
they change and been come the EVO 9

beside that's why they got after market body kits for....

anyway i learn my listen when i got my Evo 8 so i wait for the XI
hehe....

WOW... So tired of seeing stupid responses being posted. The EVO X is not agressive enough, the IX is more superior, the X has moved away from what the EVO is really about...the X looks like a poser Mazda 6....WTF how come no one says that it looks like the evolved/redesigned Evo 8/9. IMO it looks more like the 8/9 then mazda 6.
For those of you that keep whining you just sound ignorant, like a bunch of little kids screaming and crying at the grosery store because mommy wouldn't buy you candy.
I hope mitsubishi releases some specs about the evo X soon so that we can discuss something real.

My question is, will mitsu be using a 16g turbo on the X or possibly going with something larger?

I have to say that I like the IX much better in all areas except for the interior. I love the new interior on the X.

X looks like a cross between an Acura and Volvo to me. I think it has gone soft on looks and losing a little bit of edgyness. Looks like Mitsubishi is going mainstream in designs to please the older crowd. Interior is way cool though except the VW like gauges, and what's up with the peddle shifting?
