This thread is garbage. Evo IX owners are like "Evo IX looks the best", Evo VIII owners are like "Evo VIII looks the best", open minded people are "The X is growing on me". I don't give a rat butt personally what the majority of people think is "awsome", personal pref is everything.. what makes you you and not some sheep being pushed around by a dog.

I hated the look of the front bumper on the 8's personally, thought it looked like all the other lancers so I got a C-west front. Now I'm selling it and in a few years I'll have ether a X or a XI.

Agreed. The X looks horrible. Dual exhaust on a 4-banger? And when I saw they put those paddle shifters on their Outlander SUV I was embarrased for the new X. I like the IX front but overall I like the VIII better. I love the lack of the triangle piece/split grill but hate the Gialla wanabe holes and the small area for the FMIC to show through.

In my opinion the X looks like a mazda 3...no thanks. I agree with the first couple posts. I think the VIII looks the best with the JDM Evo IX rear bumper. The X doesnt even resemble the VIII or IX. Thats weak. Our Evos are gorgeous cars and I think Mitsubishi should have continued that look maybe with a few state of the art changes. The X doesnt even have a clutch . Thats half the fun in driving.

 

this is a very big change and im sure it will be for the best as with all evo 's it will grow on us, i think. just think back on when the 7 concept picts were out, over the 6 I wanted to die . I think the biggest change was when the 5 came out (when they started the wide body over the standard lancer) over the 4...............The evo X should be good.

let me get this right so the VII - IX resemble the IV - VI? as of the I-III? so all evo's but VIII and IX are weak because?

and there is will be your regular 6sd MT with a clutch.

How does the 7-9 resemble the 1-6 ???? the 7 - 9 evolution from the 6 is the same as the 10 is to the 7-9.

Evolution is happening whether you like it or not... I just hope none of you come back in here saying OH DAMN the X is sickk once its out.

 

People will start feeling really crappy when they find out that the Evo X will beat the current Evo performance wise in a stock for stock comparison.
