Think about the name though Mitsubishi LANCER Evolution The Current 8/9's are based off the Lancer as well, but it has way more differences though but is still based off that platform.

You are so right, how could I have missed it, they do look exactly a like except for the FMIC, the bull doggish front end of the EVO, the hood scoops, the wheels, the bolstered sides, the dual exhaust exits, and etc.

Come on guy, do they look similiar, yeah. Well they are both Lancers, except one is a Lancer built for performance. But if you were thinking they would look nothing a like then that is your bad. If that were the case, they would just drop the Lancer from the name and call it Mitsubishi Evolution, but they don't do that now do they
