I saw a new Volvo S40 yesterday and it looked exactly like an Evo X, but I would think the Evo x has something more to it than a volvo. The volvo has had that design out for a couple years or so, why couldn't have the lancers looked a little different.

And for the horsepower rating, I am a little dissapointed. What ever happened to the revised SAE hp ratings. I heard they were changing the way they were testing engines that would show lower numbers than whats given. Its why the 06 Sti has higher hp than the 07s.

WOW! Sure is a lot of hate mail moving around here. And on a car that very few have seen in person and none of you have driven.

Why don't we save the arm-chair quarterbacking until January when the cars arrive in dealerships and is avail. for test drives. Then all of the nice kids out there in PC land can spend less time in front of their computer talking smack and more time actually driving.

That is what the EVO X should have looked like. Instead it looks awful and just flat out boring. It reminds me of an Accord sedan. Im suprised no one mentioned it looks 99% just like the regular Lancers now. What a shame. Well when I buy an EVO again, it will be an VIII or a IX, thats for sure. What a huge letdown. They should call this the EVO 0. It SUCKS. The only thing they did much better on was the interior. I find it hilarious they made it heavier and that its slower than a IX.

Really? So how is it you know for a fact that Mitsu hardly made a profit on the CT9A Cedia derived cars, and/or that Mitsu will be making so much more with this version?

Honestly, if you want to sound like a crybaby and complain about the X, go ahead. There are plenty of similar brats on here. Dont make up outlandish claims that have no facts to back them up though.

Great pics. Overall, I like the shape and proportions of the Evo X, I just don't think it looks aggressive enough. I really miss the flared body of the previous generations. I'm sure this speaks toward Mitsu's wanting this Evo to be more mainstream. The problem is "mainstream" and "Evo" do not belong in the same sentence

I also simply do not like the new steering wheel. It looks fat and ugly. Call me a purist, or whatever other name you want, the steering wheel is meant to steer and guide the car along the road, not adjust stereo volume, not set the cruise control or whatever other electronic system that have attached to the spokes.

I'm sure it wil be an excellent car, but I have lost interest in looing into getting one. Its kind of ironic how so many people have complained about the VII-IX losing the Evo's hard edge...yet now these models are looking more no nonsense then they ever have.

Done ranting...time for a cup of joe...

I find it funny how so many people are complaining how the X is ugly and it doesn't look good as if the VIII or IX is some sort of svelte beauty. Newsflash, no EVO, period, is good looking. A Gallardo is good looking. The new Jag XKR is good looking. EVO no matter which generation is not. But then again that's just my opinion.

Ive said this so many times Ive just stopped trying. Like the VII VIII IX were anything more than oddly proportioned, tall sedans with fender flares and wings. Oh well, people just like to complain I guess.
