It makes about 242 lbs ft torque to the wheels(read charts somewhere, can't find) and Subaru overstates their power figures? Even if this subie looks like other cars (Yaris/mazda3), which i don't think so at all.....its still a subie. Also, I'm glad certain people don't take hatches seriously cause when I fly by them in the my new Sti, it'll make you feel like ****, haha. STi FTW!!!
STF up with that Subaru BS. Hey I am a little disappointed in the EVO X, but thank god it isn't that Subaru hatchcrap. Subaru and the STI never FTW, Subaru is the sh*t I left in the toilet a minute ago. ****Subaru!!!

Lol totally wrong. Subaru has always been FTMFL. but sadly, i have to admit, ON PAPER, it appears that mitsu has turned the wrong direction. Heavier, less power, taller and bigger. While the subie is going to be lighter, smaller and more powerful than the previous model. If not anything the sti may finally be on par with the evo. I hope this isnt the case but it may be, unless the new 4b11 proves to be as stout as the 4g, but no one knows this untill tuners start tearing them apart.

I agree, I think I am gonna start to take a more wait and see approach with the EVO X. I mean maybe things will change. I stated in another thread that I was hoping for the X to handle better than the IX, stop better than the IX, and run 12s@106-108mph, and it looks like we are only gonna get two out of those three. To some people those two are very important, but to me I always liked the latter.

Yup taking a wait and see approach, although I admit I am not extremely happy about the info so far on the X.

As an ex STI owner I think the new version SUCKS!!! Might be quick but you won't catch me driving anything that looks like a focus! As far as the evo goes...its not too bad but the 8 and 9 are much better in my opinon...and I deffinately don't like the idea of the paddle shifters either. If they are like the paddle shifters in the lancer they will be a joke. On the other hand if they work like the paddle shifters in a ferarri.....they could be ok.

I'll stick to my 11 second Galant VR4

I'm guessing you guys dont watch much WRC. The hatchbacks are dominating out there. Subaru is still very much in the WRC game and they are getting smoked by the Citroen and Fords (both of which are hatchbacks). Basically, if you dont like hatches, then you dont like rally because all of the Rally cars are going to be hatchbacks. Mitsubishi already said they are out of WRC and I dont see them returning with their new pig Evo. The Evo just got sold out the way the Eclipse did, hey maybe they will find some other venue to race it in but it's doubtful. They are just trying to market it to a wider market that likes the "Evo" name but wants a more comfortable, bigger car.

When the new STI wins WRC, everyone will come flocking to it. I think it's a nice looking car and if it performs, that's all I care about.

Neither!! If you really want a new AWD turbocharge 4 doors, then get a 335XI. I'm sticking to the Evo 9 instead.

That car is slow and fat compared to the Evo X. Why would anybody want that?
