I hate to say it cuz I was bashing the looks on this thing before...

but it's growing on me... enough so to MAYBE consider this

The fact that it's a hatch isn't scarring me away completely though. Would be dumb to since this is the RALLY car genre and last I checked, rally cars ARE switching to hatches as of late for better performance.

How does a hatch have better performance than a sedan? Chassis stiffness or something to do with the chassis?

I'm just curious why you're not a fan of the flat boxer engine. It's actually a smart design. Especially for an AWD vehicle.

It is not just dual tips. Looking at the under side of the car, you will find one pipe for each cylinder.

NOT!

Nope not a fly by night fan.

Friend has a subie STI and I think its an awesome car. It would be interesting if the car outperformed the Evo.

Still love my IX and wouldn't trade for anything. If you actually READ my post, I said I hope it would out perform it but also said it was a long shot.

Sounds like you took the post a little too personally. RELAX, they are only opinions.

million times nicer then the new evo X... i dont think they changed much performance wise did they? handles better, lighter i think and faster... am i wrong?

edit: also think about why its a hatch now... what are more then half of the cars in the wrc now? hatches.

I don't lust for either. The Evo X has lost it's raw no-nonsense appeal and the new STI looks like it's missing some rope and 2 stallions at the front of it. They've turned them into crowd-pleasers like when Mos Def and Kweli killed Blackstar for solo's. Also, someone here at work mentioned that the creative minds behind the new X's chassis or bulkier appearance, is do to Chrysler's envolvement. Does anyone know if that statement is true? If so, I'm hurt...

i dont think chrysler ever had involvment with the evo's... but the X i dont doubt honestly.

and the subaru, i do like it a lot. I appreciate subaru a lot more then a do mitsubishi for 2008. Mitsu had a good thing going for them.. but not anymore...
