for those of you that think the x hasent evolved

(correct me if im wrong)

So far the EVO x does 0-60 in 5.2 seconds (gsr) and 4.5 seconds (rs). i dotn know about you guys but thats still evo fast. The EVO 9 rs did 0-60 in 5.1 (according to car and driver) but apparently its 4.5. Plus its faster in the corners. the only place i see the x lacking is the feel of driving. yes the steering might not be as tight anymore, but mitsu can fix that in the mr! they have 9 other evos to show that they can. the rs dosent come with a wing, super light wheels, or brembos for a reason. yeah it saves money for tuners that want to upgrade all that stuff, but it also give the x a chance to compete with the 3 series and other sport luxury. think about it... what do bmw, audi, ect. owners complain about when they talk about the EVO? its too harsh of a ride, the wheels arnt my thing, the interior and exterior looks like its a $15,000 econo-box, and of course the boyish ricer wing (which i think is awesome by the way) the rs seams to fix that with its softer ride upgraded interior, new look and wingless-ness? what reason do they have not to not buy the EVO? its still goes very fast, cheep. thats something that ALL EVOs have in common. its what the avarage guy looks for in a sports car. look at the 350z, we all know its not much of a "sports" car...but look how its sells! the rs dosent really appeal to the old EVO owners, but i dont think its ment to. i bet when the EVO X mr comes out, it will have all the EVO we want plus more! its a pretty smart move by mitsu if you think about it. have the rs appeal to a wider audience, but keep that raw race car feel in the mr. i just hope the mr comes in stick.

I think the only way to tell if the Evo X is better than the previous generations is to let THE STIG drive it and see how it ranks compared to the others.

Why do you say no RS in the USA? I hope that's not true.

The US RS is different than the JP version anyway. We got Brembos
and Recaros on the 9.

Yeah that is what I thought. Isn't that a rumor that the RS won't be coming to the US?

the mr does come in a manual its not not a single dry clutch with a stick, its a dual wet clutch system that is far different from automatic.
