If the X is similar in price to the outgoing IX, I'm in. If it does turn out to be a $3k to $4k bump for each level, that's a shame. That's a pretty considerable hike from one generation to the next. I think they'd need to keep production low to justify that price tag, even though it appears they may be making a move to boost sales.
I wonder where the STI's price is going to fit into this. Even though I'm not as impressed with it, I'd be more likely to buy a 6spd STI at $35k than the MR at $40k.

I just called a dealership in VA that told me the MR is going to be around $37,000and available in late Feb. He was an Evo guy judging by the way he had lots of info. He was telling me that they are coming later than the GSR because they are still fine tuning the transmission. The GSRs will start in the $33,000 range and come at the end of Jan. Again, this is in Virginia, and one of the biggest Evo selling dealerships in the area. He is also taking pre-order deposits for $500.00.
+1. And tell me Is there any car on the market today that perform like EVO X or STi and cost about $40K ?? BMW 335i 4 door will be next close one, but BMW 335i sedan start at $42k and add option up to $50k !! Most of the 335i you find at BMW dealer will cost you around $45k. The 335i two door cost $3k more and very hard to find one now !! Thats how Mitsubishi and Subaru price their EVO and STi !! Who can touch them for price about $40K ?? If you are buying a car for performance, you will pay $40k for a EVO or STi, otherwise you can pick BMW 335i, Audi A4, Acura TL-S, Mercedes C350 ,Lexus IS350,Infiniti G37,Nissan 350Z. They all in that price range with $5k more or less !! People please don't said if EVO X cost $40K and you are going to get a GTR, The GTR are $65k and more, Totally different level of performance car ! The BMW M3, Mercedes C63,Audi RS4 and GTR are the same level, they all cost about $65k-$75k !
