Not good news on mitsu future
I don't like them too much either but the 3G was by far the best selling and most profitable Eclipse. I hope they can find a better compromise if there is to be a 5G by giving something for the enthusiasts to desire while still offering a cash cow that's easy to produce. Using a the GS (Lancer/Outlander) platform and 4B11s should be a no brainer and make it cheaper to produce.

I would like to think the dealer i work at doesn't suck. we do everything we can to do warranty work (yes, we actually do get paid for warranty work, so why not, if a dealer does not want to warranty a part that should be, its BS because they are turning down free work). now things that are obviously not warrantable (ie clutch on a new car and the kid has a drag racing timeslip taped to his gauge cluster) we dont warranty and those are the people who are usually mad. anything questionable gets called in to the District parts and service manager at mitsu who tells us yes or no.
as far as the eclipse, my fav, like just about anyone into racing at all is the first gen. altho, flame away if you will, i think the 3rd gen is the best looking of the group, if it had only been available with the 6g72 turbo and AWD it would have been a GREAT car.
