Based on this PX-MiEV concept the new Mitsubishi Evolution XI might be offered in a hybrid platform. This could be the only way to boast MPG if more strict green car laws go into effect.

What do you think? Ready for a hybrid Evo?

 

repost..there is an entire thread about the XI in future models..it will definately be a hybrid...and maybe non turbo as well

 

A hybrid evo would weight a metric ton!
the electric motors have alot of torque off the line!
repair cost on the hybrid systems are extensive

 

WHOA non turbo? might as well buy a prius!

 

they havent come out and said it was going to be non turbo yet but in this article it says the electric motor will act like a turbo without the lag hinting that it might be non turbo...but it also says the 4cyl gas engine will make 320 hp so we will have to wait and see what they come out with
