How badass would it be if the next EVOLUTION was a zero emissions vehicle?

With gas prices in US towering... who knows, but i bet we will see $10 a gallon some day... I would jump on this in a heartbeat.
As much as i love commuting to work every day in my evo, i dont think my next car will run off of a gasoline engine.
If my next car could be a EV
Evo... i would be beside myself!!!

Performance talk... 1,528 lb-ft of torque
Well ... http://www.treehugger.com/files/2008...car-global.php 2010 + for a regular EV.. how many years after for the performance model ???

If the price was not too outrageous, I would sell my evo VIII and buy a MIEV IX in a heartbeat. I doubt that the IX would be an option, but the X or a new variant like the X as an XI (as the VIII and IX were) would seem more realistic. I don't like the look of the X but I have only seen it in print, up close and personal it would probably grow on me.
I watched "Who killed the Electric Car" and I felt like a real a$$hole for driving my VIII. I then thought to myself that this can't be the end of the electric vehicle as batteries are better and technology has improved and found this

The price is ridiculous but in a few years, if it comes down enough, this could be a viable option for everyone. A tax break for the electric car would be better for the average person than for the small business owner who "needs" a $100,000 tax break for a vehicle over 6000 GVWR.
