New EVO Hybrid Picture
Whats next? A "sports" car with a whole 50 hp that runs off your gas from your azz.... you just hook up when you sit in the seat. Yeah people want good gas mileage but look back when they made ford festivas and dodge colts. Those cars got close to 50 mpg. A no frills true econo box that was cheap to drive and purchase. What happened to those cars? No demand? Why did those get axed?
I like the rear end of the white one. Not so much for the other shots including the front end. It reminds me almost of the Evo 9 even though it's clearly far from the 9 rear end. Something about the smaller look of the rear is appealing to me though.
Probably the first of any picture to get me excited about the next Evo. The others are bland so far and I'm not a fan of hatches. The big 3's domestic muscle cars that the Evo used to embarrass all added another 100 horsepower and now the bar seems to be at 400 horsepower in the public's eyes. People are falling in love with the 5.0 and it's harder to pull people towards an expensive 4 cylinder.
This should be interesting to say the least. Still loving that white rear end

I don't care what a concept drawing looks like - I'm just glad that they are planning something to replace the current Lancer. All we get is that they're discontinuing all three models from the US plant in Illinois and the only solid new model is that ridiculous i-MEIV. Mitsubishi really needs to step up their game with a midsized replacement for the Galant, a new Lancer (which it appears is in the works) and bring over the 2012 Colt. I would be happy to see the L200 truck imported or built here - its all over the world and we don't get it.

If you look at all the models on the UK site they have a much more complete lineup there than we get (especially after the Galant, Eclipse and Endeavor are history). Basically, give the dealers something to sell so I don't have to worry about where to get service (when they shelve their franchises for lack of product).

They need to beef up the engine. I want to see a stock/factory ~500+ HP Evo in the states.
Let's at least hope these features come standard (on all Evo XI models)... it's a wish list:
- automatic windshield wipers
- HID head lamps
- heated/cooled seats
- navigation system
- integrated 2-way factory alarm system (with LCD screen)
- detachable body panels that can be swapped anytime with any color body panel you want (they'll just snap on/off)

The first two concepts are photoshops of the sti with an evo front. If you look at a picture of the sti it's exactly the same from the front doors back. Look at the rear quarter window its the same.
