New EVO Hybrid Picture
no thanks. if mitsubishi gave me a demo for free i would give it back. not a fan of diesel, and it totally shuns the heritage of the evo. seriously, concepts are supposed to be progressive and forward thinking. it is like ferrari coming out with a station wagon
I think it looks good, but we will see what ends up happening ya know. Concepts ALWAYS look insane, then they tone them down and make them look "normal". Just as long as they dont make it look like the camry. Like Subaru did with the Legacy, AND dont do something so insane like making it a hatch.
They did its called the FF
I'm honestly in a dead lock for which to get. Right now I want a 2012 Evo X, but one of my co workers was making very valid points for hybrids/diesel cars. I don't HAVE to get the Evo now, as it is one of my dream cars, but man would I like to have it sooner rather than later.
To be perfectly honest, I hate those concept pictures, but then again I hated the look of the X and now I like it, and will possibly be my next car. I wouldn't MIND an diesel/hybrid if they keep the following:
* Manual - even though I can't drive a stick perfectly, I want that physical connection to the car. If you're stripping HP/performance/whatever, I at least want the stick.
* Mod ability - again, I'm not tuner, but I would like to be able to fix a car myself without having to pay an arm and leg to repair (see SST horror stories for case in point)
* Looks - Hybrids have gotten better the last few years, but most of them trade looks in some way to help gas mileage. I'm all for a refreshed look, but not like those concepts.
Just because I KNOW the 2012s are right around the corner with all those options, I may go ahead and pick one up in Jan or so. But if Mitsu comes out with something on the XI by then, then I may hold out another year.
