I wouldn't mind having one of the new Outlanders.

If I'm ever in the market for a small SUV in the next few years this will be at the top of my list. And yet, people will continue to line up to buy damned Toyota RAV4s like there's no tomorrow.

That's because RAV4s are comfortable and reliable. I rode in a new one for 1400 miles on our way to Montana - smooth ride, decent power, plenty of legroom (front and back seats), zero issues. Don't think I'd ever buy one, but I understand why people do.

The car based SUV's do have thier charms.
