This year to celebrate 40 years of Mitsubishi in the UK they have released for sale, but not yet delivered the FQ440, with only 40 being made. They all sold within the 1st hour of release with just a spec sheet available.

So anything is possible.

Unfortunately our last Evo X and standard Lancers were sold in 2011, nothing has been stocked since.
The FQ 440 will have the SST transmission and a 36,000 miles / 3years' warranty.
Doesn't look as though Mitsubishi are too trusting of this edition!

My wishes:
7dct500 from getrag option
380-420hp (raised compression to 9.3 or 9.5(Its really possible and it should happen))
150lbs lighter
23-25mpg
$47k
official 0-60: 4.2 to 4.4
reality:
5sp manual with 6dct470 as an option
320hp-360hp (ecu tweak as usual)
150lbs heavier
20mpg
$50k
official 0-60: 4.4 to 4.6

The only thing EVO needs is stiffer springs (which would it allow to be a bit lower than it is right now, and inch perhaps on both ends). Everything else is allowed to modify per rule book!!

Wish it came out with a manual 6 speed and wipers on the rear window.

Meh... I never understood the fascination. Realistically speaking, let's assume that they offered the IX MR 6-speed (or at least some mildly updated version of it, since they're unlikely to have developed a whole new 6-speed manual) while still having created the TC-SST. Other than quieter top-gear cruising, it would be a less sturdy transmission that weighs more and gets worse gas mileage (which is a reasonable assumption, considering the EPA ratings of the IX 5-speed vs. the IX 6-speed and the X 5-speed vs. the X 6-speed dual-clutch).

But if they geared it to the point where it got an EPA rating of 28 mpg highway, that's a different story. But that wouldn't have been the case.

If the wipers on the rear window make a difference, you're driving too slow!

400hp with the mr transmission would be my budget alternative to a gtr. I have had a couple subarus with rear windshield wipers and I can count the number of times i used them on one hand. I would gladly ditch the added weight.

No it doesn't, but that doesn't surprised me. They released there crossover the ASX with their own 1.8 diesel engine awhile ago. The majority of diesel engines are a 12'000 mile service interval, the ASX has a 10'000 mile service interval. From what a dealer told me this is because they don't know the reliability of the engine yet.

So using customers as their guinea pigs so they can release a car quicker.

It's not going to be cheap unless it's a stripped out MR with a tune engine. Currently a 2014 fully loaded MR from factory have a MSRP of over $45k!

Did anyone notice they have posted pictures of the 2015 Lancer on the Mitsubishi website? I know it's not the evo, but it's got me pretty excited!

Yes they have. I don't know if you noticed or not but not only did they keep the same body yet again, but they no longer offer the Ralliart as an option as well.
