Reliability of ACD vs. mechanical center diff

Anyone here have experience with/knowledge of the EVO's ACD (i.e. JDM Evo), specifically the reliability (or lack thereof) of it. Also, how much more maintenance is required?

Just curious if some reliability is being traded in favor of better handling... I'm assuming so. I haven't heard any stories of problems with the center diff yet, so I'm thinking the mechanical is pretty bulletproof, which I wouldn't necessarily assume on the active diff.
