300whp on basic bolt ons!!!

Hey guys, I just got back from the dyno today.

Having heard dredded stories that the mustang dyno reads lower than the dyno jet and others, I was a little concerned about what my results would be.

Then I was pleasantly surprised!

- 299.1 Hp @ 6750 rpm / 2/14/05 Temp 42 Deg.
- 281.1 Tq @4750 rpm (these are corrected)

Tim at Dyno Authority in Redmond, Wa, did a great job! The only thing I am uncertain of was the A/F in the 12's. If you would like to see the results go to Pinamotorsports.com. Do you think I am in the safe zone?

My Mods are: Full 3inch Turboback exhaust, Downpipe and hiflow cat, FMIC, Upper/Lower piping. Aem Intake MAS pipe, Hallman Boost set to 21.75 psi, Works aperture, SAFC2 tuned to 12.0 -12.5 a/f on 92 octane.

Please comment on this tune. Car runs very strong. I picked up 80hp over stock compared to other evos that were tuned there. Feel free to list your dyno results.
Let's compare, it seems my combo worked pretty well.

Finally, what are the result horsepower and torque differences one can expect using other than Mustang Dyno?

Thanks for your help.

on a Dyno Dynamics dyno, your mods would get you about 280whp,275-280ft-lbs tq. on the next dyno day, i'm hoping for at least 300whp since i run 101 octane, 25lbs on hallman, dynoflash, k&n panel filter, & full 3" turboback. dynocomp here in az factors a 37% driveline loss since it is an awd dyno & it's accurate down to 0.1hp.

On a mustang I put down 345 whp and 310 tq. this was with a very conservative tune.

I have a bigger turbo, bigger intercooler, cams, cam gears, etc etc.

No! That's too lean for 92 octane and since you are using an SAFC not only are you running extra lean, you are also running extra timing advance. 12.0 is considered fairly lean on pump and most people shoot for around 11.5. A mail-in Dynoflash will put you in the high 10s. Even if your motor doesn't blow a piston, it's very likely that your car will see knock and pull timing more often, which will make you slower overall than if you had a more conservative tune. If you have an OBD-II logger (or know someone who does), it might be worth doing some datalogging to see what your timing is doing at WOT. Personally, I'd richen it up a bit.

too Lean? I hear tuners tuning to 12.0 and 11.5 for best results!

leaning it out will always increase your hp to a point. That point unfortunately is usaully just before you detonate and break some rings, or worse melt down a piston.

Don't forget to that the detonation that occurs usually causes little cracks in between vavle seats on most engines.
they don't have the say lean is mean for nothing.

personally I like to be rich when running high boost. I run my other high boost Mopars at about 0.95 V O2 at 25 - 28.5psi and slightly retarded timing. I'd rather be safe than rebuilding.
