Stupid question because i am dumb on electrical wiring.:
How do you splice the S-AFC wires to the ECU wires? I have the ECU harness extension.
What tools would I need to do the job? I assume I would have to cut the wires at the ECU harness extension, splice the S-AFC wires to the harness extension wires with some insulated splice connectors. Correct?
Any pics would be appreciated... Thanks!!

you ONLY cut the MAF wire everything else you can get the lil snap on splicers from homedepot($6) and connect everything.Originally Posted by dreamevo

Or you can get a razor blade and cut back some insulation to expose the wire. You can then use the clips Apex gave you or soldier it. If you can make this I.E. meet on April 4th, you can check out mine;

So, I just need to cut the MAF wire, strip the rest of the wires, and connect them accordingly, rite? I don;t have the clips from Apex because i bought the SAFC used.

If i were you i would buy the field harness so i wouldn't have to splice into my ecu wires directly. Secondly SOLDER i wouldn't reccomend the clips. And if you're going to use the harness...why not?

those clips don't work that well. they loose some of the signals or fuzzies them.
best way to go is to splice all wires.
just got mine in today.

I purchased an ecu patch harness from mach v motorsports. The harness is slick, the wires you need to use are color coded. I it saves you from have to cut into the stock wiring, so if you ever want to remove the s-afc you just pull out the patch harness and your back to stock. on the harness you need to cut the wire coming from the mass air sensor. the other wires, I just used a razor to peel back the insulation and then soldered the wires on. makes a much better connection.

I just did mine the same way. Don't use the clips, this is a very important step.
Don't get all cheap now

i actually cut the wire then solder all three in a straight line. the reason i cut mine was so i could put shrink tubing over the whole solder. a little more work but, if you just strip the wire and solder @ a T angle it sticks out more. DON'T use Vampire ( T-Taps), this is not a car stereo, this is a part that is controling the air fuel delivery in your car!
