Base maps?

Alright people, Updated my UTEC finally and it says don't use previous base maps for the Evo. Right now I am running the Helix Intake, Hallman BC, Ultimate Racing 3" Catback, 3"Catdelete, no downpipe yet, and Buschur Front Mount, with AMS UICP and Greddy Type S venting.

Does TurboXS have a base map for the new firmware that I can use currently till I pick up an AirFuel gauge in a couple weeks or someone on here have one that I won't have to worry about anything damaging my engine?

I would recommend just downloading the TurboXS stage 1 map from the turboxs web page.

Its for 1.7. At least I hope so because thats what I started with. Be aware though that the map is for 93 octane gas. I only had 92 so I there was a bunch of adjusting that had to be done to get it to work. In fact, for the first tune I highly recommend getting a pro to do it for you. It really helps set the baseline of safety with your vehicle!

You might want to get it tuned. The maps they have are tuned with the stock intake. I used the stage 2 map a while back with an aftermarket intake. When I took my car to Turbo XS for a tune my car's A/F was all over the place. The scary part it was running very lean for a few weeks before the tune. They said it was runing like that because of the intake and the stage 2 map was not tuned for one. I asked them why they dont have one for intake kits. They told me it was because each intake needs its own tune so they cant come up with a basic map for them. Hope that helps.
