Sorry for the newb question, but how does the datalogit work? Does it connect in line w/ the power fc? Can you log data and make changes to all the cells in the maps? I know the commander only allows a few cells to be changed. I have been looking at getting a standalone and want one that is easy to make changes too.

Here is their link. It plugs in where the Commander plugs in and the Commander plugs in to the Datalogit module. You have access to all maps and can make changes from your laptop.

Ok,

finally got the FC Datalogit interface box and software. Looks pretty good and am reading the manual to get the idea of it. Need to install my Wideband o2 sensor and figure out how to integrate it into the Datalogit so that it reads correctly. There is a polynomial equation that will have to be input for it to read accurately. I think I can get that information from the PLX site but putting it to good use will be another matter.

Can't wait to see how the datalogging works and if it will actually make me able to tune the car myself at some point.

.... to be continued........

Tony

Logs

If you like I can upload a couple of my logged runs and watch layouts... Each to their own, but it will give you an idea.

Targa Tom,

That would be great! Anything to get this moving along. Today's the day I get my wideband installed so barring any unforseen circumstances I will probably try to log some data this evening to see if it is all working properly.

I'll be looking for your info.

Thanks,

Tony

It isn't necessary, but it makes it easier. It is easier to make changes and the data logging features are also very helpful. None of the guys I know have set up the antilag, but I'm sure one of us will hook it up.

if you're thinking you can tune the car safely with that power commander, think again,
datalogging is my best friend, and no one has made one better than dataloggit.
