Power FC and alky kit

Does the power fc have the ability to switch maps, one for pump and one for alky injection? If so how easy is it and how long does it take?

Thanks

You will need FC Datalogit to have two unigue maps. You can also make temporary changes with the Commander to both fuel and timing in the ign/ injectors screen. Tony is in the process of setting up two maps for his PFC, so we'll see how it goes.

I was going to go with the HKS Vpro but I guess if Im going to use alky its better to stick with the Pwer FC because the commander can detect knock just incase something does fail?

The PFC does detect knock and flashes the check engine light quickly as an alarm, but it doesn't react to knock (increase fuel or decrease timing).

FWIW, I've been very happy with my PFC. I would just make sure you have someone near you that can tune it if you are not familiar with it.

yea I will have a tuner tune it for me so it shouldnt be a problem. I know it doesnt react to knock but as long as it detects knock that is good enough, that way I know the alky kit is not working properly. Saves me money on just buying a seperate knock meter.

Ok guys, got the FC Datalogit box and software and it's hooked up. Now I just need to get my wideband installed and tapped into the Datalogit interface box to see if I can actually log the signal and I should be good to go. Of course, I don't know a damn thing about tuning in general so I'm certainly going to be looking for a lot of answers before I ever tap a key on the laptop. I got good information from David Buscher on how to tune for the alky kit, all I have to do is figure out HOW to do what he said! To be continued.......

Ok, wideband is installed! I was told that it needs to go through about 20 heat cycles for it to be completely accurate. Also, I have to figure out how to adjust the FC Datalogit software to correctly interpret the signal from the PLX m300. I think that even though it is a linear controller, you have to enter a polynomial equation for it to register correctly. I'm going to mess with it this morning for a little while even though I haven't done all the heat cycles yet, just to get a feel for things.

Will keep you all posted...
