Power FC & Aquamist

I've started having a look into the Aquamist system and have a potentially very stupid question.

It seems you setup the Aquamist and run it with switchable maps, i.e. one when running injection and one when not. The Power FC does not have this ability, so I have to run injection all the time, but the question is then what if it fails for some reason? Does the Aquamist somehow work with the Power FC and retard timing / boost?

You can set it up to reduce boost under a failure. You need either a MAC valve or a EBC to reduce boost under a failure conditions. Switching maps is really good if your switching from high boost/meth to low boost no meth

Sorry I am a bit late for this.

The HKS EVC requires a MAC valve to work properly.

Here is a drawing that might help:

couldn't you just hook up the scramble switch to the failsafe relay and set the evc to drop boost on scramble. thats what I do with my avcr and it works sweet. This way i can run whatever boost I want when the failsafe trips, not just wastegate pressure.

Burnzy,

What voltage signal does the scramble switch take to alter boost? Interesting way to control boost upon failsafe activation.

not sure about the evc but the AVCR requires the scramble wire, which is orange to be connected to ground on activation. So I have the com connected to ground and N/c connected to scramble. I'm pretty sure the EVC would work the same way, I know it has scramble also. If it's 2 wires instead of one like the avcr you would connect one wire to com instead of ground thats all.
