There is APS. Who else makes one?

Seen it, but I don't think it will work very well.
So far, the best I have seen is from Kansai, but its $$.

I am looking at other alternatives, if there is any...

Apexi cold air induction kit. I think it is about $300 or so.

Looked at it, It's $150.00 or so, but it doesn't have a true cold air intake. It's pretty much a shield for the air filter from the heat of the engine.

I just cannot believe no one has made a cold air intake at an affordable price!

This is the best I've found so far...

You also have to buy the filter. Where does the Apexi airbox pull air from? I assumed it was from the hole in the bumper, but I don't know.

Can you use the CDA system with the MAF?

that looks almost like the stock filter box. i bet a stock replacement k&N drop in filter would do the same thing.

technically isnt the stock setup a cold air setup since the ducting is pulling in air from the outside & not directly under the hood?

I am going to go with the APS. I have heard nothing but good things about it. And from an engineering point of view the idea of the shape along with the fact that you are pulling cooler air from the fender well looks like they thought about the design quite a bit. I just need some extra money and I'll have one.

I always thought it was best to pull the cold air from the front of the car... isn't that better than from the wheel well? The APS system does look nice, though. Too bad you have to also buy their water spray reservoir to get the intake in.

Yes - Please do, as I am interested in this as well. I would think the APS would work well, as it is drawing air from the front opening on the car. Wouldn't it get more air here than the HKS unit????
