Turboback install??

ive had my evo for a while now and just decided to mod it. im about to install a turbo back exhaust and was just wondering if there was anything else i needed to make sure everything runs smoothly. should i expect a CEL after this install and if so which CEL eliminator should i go with? sorry if this is noobie-ish...thanks

Talking From my own experience...

ok , here it is ... installing a Turbo back exhaust removes the Catalytic Converter , therefore the O2 sensor you have in the rear section of the exhaust will notice and throw a CEL .definitely consider getting the Perrin CEL elimanator or a mechanical CEL fix like the spark plug anti-fouler thing everyone has been talking about . if you don't plug the O2 sensor , you'll get a CEL , if you install the Turbo-back Exhaust without a CEL fix , you'll get a CEL . so some people i know get a downpipe , high flow cat , and cat-back exhaust instead of removing the cat to not need a CEL fix . oh yeah , i almost forgot that in most if not all 50 states , removing the cat is highly illegal .... so if you remove the cat , watch out for nosy cops with Evo-hatred .... hahaha .... i hope i was of some help ....

yeah , you SHOULD be ok .... but some HI-FLOW cats do trigger a CEL but never fear , gruppe-s now sells a mechanical fix for around 15.00 bucks .... you simply plug the O2 sensor into the fix and that into exhaust pipe and your done . now the O2 sensor is out the flow of the exhaust and will be " tricked " .... wish ya the best.

I was fine with my TBE and high flow cat for a few months, and then started getting the po420 code. I used an o2 simulator provided by my exhaust manufacturer when I called them, and the CEL is gone.
