Eh, i'm not too sure the flash could handle that kind of boost compensation. To my experience, only standalones with boost comp fuel maps could handle that. I know for sure on ecu's, if i tuned the afc at 11.5 at 21 psi, it would be super rich if i ran it on wastegate boost. I doubt any of the flash guys would take the time to remap the entire map to suite every boost level. Especially since the ecu runs on maf and not speed density. Just way too many variables to compensate.

I don't keep up with Flashed EVOs too much, but I have definitely seen datalogs of cars which have a pretty flat AFR curve on Flashed ECUs with the boost moving around and no alky/AFC. I'll try to remember where I saw them and dig them up, and see who flashed those cars. Its definitely possible, given a good flash tuner. It was possible on the 1G ECUs, and the EVO is more advanced than that. Similar concept, different application. Maybe most flash TUNERS aren't capable...but its definitely possible. Airflow is just an extension of boost per setup, it really no different conceptually.

Can someone point in me in a direction where I can get more information on this MAP mod for the AFC II? I'm searching as we speak, but if you happen to have a great link I would appreciate it.

Nice link Vijay...

Oh, I ended up ordering a new Zeitronix ZT2 wideband + LCD at the request of vtech8tr, but I have not heard a response back from him. The unit should be here in a few days along with my updated one. PM me if anyone is interested. $420. It will log rpm, wideband02, lambda, TPS% and user input 1 as is with LCD display. Boost and EGT are available options for later upgrading. If you get the boost sensor, you can use it for both the ZT2 and the SAFC MAP mod

I just received my Zeitronix wide band on Thursday. I was thinking about picking up the display and the boost sensor later....

I'm a bit confused on the MAP mod, in the link above they purchased a Motorola MPX 4250 AP. For this to work on our Evo's do we need to purchase that? Isn't there a MAP sensor in the Evo already? If so, what voltage does it read at?

I don't think anyone has used the stock map sensor. I would not trust my car's fueling on that nor do I know the range of that sensor. I think that the stock map is used in processes of non critical importance.

You can get the motorola I assume, however you're probably already aware of this but you still need the AEM-type sensor for the ZT2 wideband.

The new zeitronix ZT2 that I ordered will be here Tuesday if anyone is interested in purchasing it. ZT2 + LCD. PM Me.

Try it and you will be surprised at the difference.
i'm a bit confused by this statement. in a normal tps setup after you stomp on it the fuel trims go to what you have in the himap. i'm assuming after you reach a certain boost the fuel trims go to himap for the map triggered version. and anything inbetween is interpolated right? so how does that allow you to tune during spool up?

also.. does anyone have any definitive numbers running the 3.5bar gm map sensor (zeitronix) at about 20psi. which % would you put in for peak boost himap trigger?

and also does anyone have any simple instruction on which wires to put where for the above said sensor?
