here's my tuner pro

Just finished cutting the DIN face. Next step is to cut a metal plate to mount the board on with elevated cooling areas for those 2 resistors or whatever they are and holes to screw it into the stock stereo location. Then I'll be looking into smoothening the holes around the digital AFR display and RS-232 connector. Right now they are more or less strait cut and not too sharp but if anyone has any idea on how I can make it really smooth, give me a shout

Looks good. The only way i can think to smooth the endes is to bevel them in with some light grit sand paper or a dremel and smoft brush. I build a pocket for mine underneath the very bottom between the shifter panel and the pocket above it(where i have the stereo)

It's a stock Evo RS radio delete panel.

Nice.. Glad to see you put together what you were planning.. I was considering doing something similar with Lexan instead of a radio delete plate. I ended up putting mine in my glove box since I'm waiting for a tailpipe sniffer for the Tuner so I can use it for tuning other peoples cars.

I have used a fine metal file to smoothen it out and this picture is after it. My next thing was to try very fine grit sand paper but figured I'd ask here and see if people know of anything else worth trying
It's really difficult to work with plastic and I didn't want to use the metal front because "stock" Tuner is way too heavy already.

Will post final picture once I make the base, hopefully over the weekend.

You know, I was thinking about doing similar and after I received my radio delete I figured this is a lot less work. This piece is actually pretty strong and it doesn't flex much at all so I decided to use this. I like plastic because it's pretty resistant to bumps
They're coming out with tail pipe sniffer for the tuner? That's awesome news. I might persuade few more peeps to get the tuner that way
