Unhappy Car got hiccups

So I was driving, I come to the light and when it turns green I decided to launch out of the hole, well I was rowing through the gears and after I shifted into 3rd I got to about 5600-6000 rpm's and my car felt like it was "hiccuping"?! Not sure if this is the proper term, more like it was surging and felt like it was not creating anymore boost. Only mods I have done are an HKS RS intake and the Greddy Type RS bov which I am VTA. When I put in the intake this weekend I hardened the BOV. Do you think that would make my car act up? When I had the stock airbox w/ the type RS I don't remember my car ever doing this. I checked the hoses and I have no vacuum leaks. I dunno what the hell it could possibly be. I'm gonna soften up the spring in the bov tomorrow. Anyone ever have this happen to them? Let me know what you guys think it might be. Thanx

What's 2 fast 2 furious about VTA? I got it fixed , it was that I made the BOV too hard, I softened it up and now no problems. And the biggest problem years are the 03-04 when it comes to VTA
