Engine Overboost...getting pissed!!!

Ever since its been getting cold outside at nights my car has been throwing the engine overboost code. i run 21 psi on the Greddy EBC without a boost spike, i even turned it down to 19 psi to see what happens and it still comes on...i've adjusted the MAF HZ to 2300 in the peramiters but still nothing changes. It will happen from a low RPM pull in 2nd gear and above. So what could it be?? Jack your input would nice as well....

Although I do not have a UTEC, I was receiving this same code with an MBC set at 20 psi. I also turned it down and still received it.

I believe UTEC can't prevent that code from comming up... Do you have a aftermarket intake?

With a MBC and stock MAF, when it gets cold outside you need to lower your boost because you get more air into the engine (it's denser). Or just re-tune your car.

You can't really prevent the code from popping up, but it doesn't have any impact on the UTEC or the car. I get the same thing on some days..

The only time I don't get it is if I set my UTEC boost control to 19psi and then drop to 16psi at 4500rpm, which is basically what the stock setting would be.. But I use that for my map1 so I can pass an OBD-II check with no codes..

Nope you won't loose anything... I get that code so often I don't even bother clearing it anymore.

are you hitting fuel cut? I had the same thing with my stock injetors when i had issues with fuel cut. I had to upgrade to bigger injectors to get rid of it. Now i have system too lean CEL's. It's kinda hard to dodge CEL's when you start making power. I had like 7 codes and didnt lose any power
