Is my UTEC strange?

I am removing 10 points of fuel by redline to get my car at around 11.2 afr. I have also removed fuel in pretty much every cell. I have looked at some of the maps people post and have yet to see someone remove as much fuel as me. On my meth map I have removed like 15 points and I am still not in the 11's... Is this normal or is my car just odd.

i love them. Most people run lean on UTEC but I have to remove a ton of fuel to run right... I guess I am just odd.

well, the cams might be aiding that fact, but shouldn't. I'll probably catch ya at a meet, might even have seen ya at the import event day at moroso, who knows, would like to hear/see how they are

Just make sure your WB sensor is calibrated correctly. Don't worry about how others' map looks like as long as you have your AFR checked. FYI, I removed about 9 points of fuel...

yes i am tuning my own car. I also have calibrated my wideband twice. When I am cruising the car is at 14.7 (stoich) so If it wasn't calibrated correctly I guess wouldn't be seeing stoich.

When I had an aftermarket intake I had to add tons of fuel while everyone was running rich. All in all, every car is different, and like bjai said, make sure your wideband is sane

well i guess what matters how good the car is running. no knock and its pulling hard... I am getting over 2100 on the MAF by redline, no knock, and afr is sitting at low 11's. I was getting hesitation in the lower load cells and rpm because I had been so rich. I figured since car had to be so lean up top the same was happening in every cell. I removed fuel everywhere and the car is running so much better.

That's some serious airflow. I'm only pulling 1700 hz.

Check this log out from earlier in the day. I was still running a little rich and less timing than when I went out tonight. I overwrote the log from tonight by mistake I can't wait till the new release of MPS logger.

I was tring to get over 20 degress of timing by redline but I get knock. I am still using the stock plugs and ignition. Do you think getting one step colder plugs and the a Bushur coil-on plug with a MSD DIS-2 would help?

What's wrong with the mps logger? the only problem i found was that the ecu timing wasn't appended in the evo log. So i just selected the sti utec option and i got my ecu timing appended. You run a lot more timing than i do in the 5k range. I always get knock around there. Here's a log. As for your timing, i can't really give much advice on that without getting on a dyno. If she doesn't knock, keep going i guess. If i encounter knock, i back off a few tenths of a degree around the area it knocked. Had a lot of trouble keeping the car to travel the same path through the map. It kept travelling to higher load sites each pull.

Don't pay attention much to the afr. I'm planning to do another fuel map from scratch.

joey, what gear are you logging in, 3rd?

i only ask because after seeing philip's logs, your load sites are at 100 like instantly. You're at 100 load below 5000, whereas phil hasn't hit 100, and i don't hit it at 7k @ 18 psi.

Whats the reason for that?
