Reflash in So Cal?

Is there a reputable tuner that does dyno reflashes in Southern California? The place that I planned on having do my tune only does it on piggybacks. I am torn between buying a SAFC II and just having my car reflashed. Thanks

If your not really into the tunning or tweeking you car alot, a reflash can be the way to go. My friend got a Works reflash and there mistic BS hose and I rode in the car before and after and I thought it was money well spent! He is not a big tuner he just loves to drive his car and with a full exhaust and intake and a act clutch hes pretty much done with mods.

Talking afc

i've owned the afc and it worked great. i've messed around with it some time now but really didn't get it to run as good as it suppose to. save your self some head ache and get a reflash.

If you plan on leaving the car relatively stock, except minor boltons, flash may be the way to go. If you plan on adding more add'l mods, SAFC. I personally don't like flashes since my setup is always changing. If you were to get a flash, i'd get: http://www.technosquareinc.com/

I believe these guys wrote the software that dynoflash and other flashers use.

You just have to find the right tuner to optimize it :P If you're in SoCal, Dr. Gray is a good resource.

Do these people do tunes or just sell the software? Thanks

I originally planned Tuning Technologies, but they don't do reflashes. Now I have to decide whether I want a SAFC II or a reflash. It's a tough decision.

I called them, and they charge $595 for a reflash. He also didn't seem like he knew anything about alky injection. The guy at Harman-Motive seemed pretty knowledgable though, so I may use them. They have experience with alcohol. I am waiting for the evo specialist to call me back. Everyone seems a little sketchy about running alcohol on a reflash, and I don't understand why. Once my car is done I just want to drive it and I don't want to change any settings, so I don't see the point in having a SAFC II. I will probably just turn the boost down durning normal driving. Is there something that I'm not taking into account? Is there any reason alcohol can't be used all the time? I thought that was the point because it only comes on at the higher boost levels.
