Welcome to the ECU+ forum!

Hi everyone,

I'm Dan from Mach V Motorsports. We're your retailer for the ECU+ and work closely with Tom Collins, the brilliant rocket scientist (I'm only slightly exaggerating) who invented and continues to hone the ECU+.

Tom and I have spent many a night zooming up and down the deserted roads of Loudon country in the Mach V Evo, tweaking and refining the ECU+ product. It's now in its second iteration, and I think it's a really great value, in terms of the feature set and price point. Many of the improvements and refinements are the direct result of feedback from you, the ECU+ users and potential customers.

Having this forum will help us all continue that dialog, and I hope give a little more exposure to one of the Evo world's best kept secrets.

Tom posts on these forums under the user ID tlcoll1. The Ecu+ home pages are here at ecuplus.com. And the Mach V Evo web site is at MachEVO.com.

Tune and drive safely out there!

Dan

Thank you for chiming in. I hear great things about your service at MACH V, and I have seen a little of it already. I was the guy that called last week from Iraq. I will be calling you back here in the next few days to prepay for my ECU +. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

Dan

Hey I bought my ECU+ months ago, but +1 for Mach V... They made special shipping arrangements and it was a good experience buying from them.

I am curious about how this unit handles/overrides the RPM limits or Fuel cut?

Also if there are plans to support the Ford MAF and IAT also?

Fuel cut is handled with a MAF frequency clamp if you want. RPM limits are not touched. Because this device is completely outside the ECU, it can't change the RPM limiter. On the other hand, if you have good sized injectors and a big-bore GM MAF, fuel cut and/or MAF overrun shouldn't be an issue.

Not at this time, but if we get enough demand for it, I don't see why we couldn't make the Ford MAF happen. (MalibuJack, educate me on why you prefer a Ford over a GM one.)

I'll have to defer to Tom on the Intake Air Temp question.

I usually support stuff based on popularity, so the more folks are interested in a given device, the sooner I get to it. Right now people are just starting to experiment with alternate MAFs IMO, so we'll see how it goes.

Is the Ford MAF the one that the Pro Flow uses? Do you know if it outputs a pulse train like the GM MAFs? If so, supporting that would just be a day trip down to Mach V to work through the calibration.

Hi Tom. Good to see your work being finally appreciated in this forum.
What is your status on 3.5" GM MAF (ie: Z06) support?
And thanks for you help with rewiring my harness!

Tom
Its the same unit pro-flow used, Its an analog signal, 0-5v and doesnt use PWM or any sort of square-wave signal.

Just checking out different options out there for folks looking to run alternative MAF setups.
