Safc question pls help

Hi guys ı am planning to buy safc 2 but ı m a little avoid because some of my friends says it is dangerous for my engine and it will do bad thing for my engine in the course of time. How long have you been using safc and have got bad experience?Pls give some afr ratios because if ı will buy, ı m planning to set daily 11,5 afr and 16-17 psi and 11,5 afr again 22 psi of boost.Whats your idea's of this settings is it dangerous in the course of time(we use 98octane in Türkey but ı agree our 98 octane is equal to your 93 octane)

You don't just choose which A/F you want to run with the SAFC. There's a lot more to it than that. It can be a very effective way to tune more HP out of your EVO. There are several FAQs and basic guidance on this site on how to use a datalogger or a wideband to tune the SAFC for the EVO.

My suggestion is either find someone who knows how to use the SAFC that can datalog and tune your car for you. Otherwise, if you don't know what you're doing, it's probably best that you stay away.

You wonder about the safety about what? The S-AFC is like any other tuning device in that if you screw up, you can blow the engine. The S-AFC itself won't just screw up anything, though. It will only cause problems if you are irresponsible with it and cause the engine to run extremely lean by removing tons of fuel. I've used the same S-AFC model for 7 years on 4 different cars and not one has had engine problems. I'm currently running 12.01 with my S-AFC and no other tuning device (no flash, no ecutek, nothing).
