Questions about GM 3inch MAF.

What vehicle does this come from, I've been hunting junk yards trying to find one, but they're like "If you don't know what it came off of, then we can't find it"

I figured that it came on LS1 or something.

I also tried to score a MAP sensor at the junkyard but I couldn't find one =/

Should be any of the LT1 GM cars from 96 on, Impala SS and such. This is the GM part number I found 25180303. Here is the MAF Splice

Yeah, can search for gm 3" MAF and it's a pretty good bet it'll work. Though I'm not sure if they made different calibrations of them.

I thought about the descreened version. But did some reading around and what I found is unless they were recalibrated for the descreen then it would be bad. The screen is there to straighten the air going through the MAF. If it's calibrated for it and it's not there could get bad readings.

BTW, you can download the manual from the ECU+ web site. Just grab the latest silver box software - the manual is inside of that ZIP file.

I think only the LT1's had the 3" and the LS1's have the 3.5". I know some of the newer LS1's have a 3 5/8". But don't quote me on that.
