IveyFlash using Ecutek
had my car dynoed by ivey he made 351hp and 360 tq with my evo 9 and it's out of fuel so iam going back with my new injectors and different intake to get retuned, my experiences's with ivey were awsome hes a great tuner and a awsome dude down to earth!!! in my opinion hes one of the best tuner's on the east coast. I highly rec iveytune.com to anyone wanting to get flashed or tuned!
Sean is awesome!!
Just got back from getting a flash by Sean Ivey....he pushed the car to its potential and it put down 330whp and 347wtq...but then Sean gave it a "safer" street tune and I ended up with 313whp and 333wtq...More than happy with the results....now just waiting to save up for hks cams and back to jersey i go!!!!....thanx a lot Sean!!!
+1 for Ivey
Just a heads up
Sean got me about 17 more hps and 22lbs more torque froma previous tune which was found to be unsafe and running very lean...Im not flaming or mentioning anyone but he was very thorough and took his time to get my tune right...
AF is stone flat and safe to my specs to be a little rich up top for road racing...so i did give up potentially more hps for engine safety...
Props Sean
soon i wll have either the LT or Cossies or both and you will get another call from me
thanks

Well, regarding:-
What benefit does the ECUTEK offer over the ECUFLASH? Surely there must be some advantage to the ECUTEK to be about $150 more?
I have heard (but don't quote me) that the ECUTEK is supposed to allow the intercooler water spray program to be modified (ie. spray more/less often, change the trigger temperature to start spraying, etc.)... is that true? Could THIS be the difference between the ECUTEK and ECUFLASH (or perhaps there are more differences? Like modifying ACD/AYC settings)?
ECUTEK:
$599 for the initial tune with license.
$450 for Custom retunes of Ecutek licensed ecus.
$350 for retunes if I custom tuned you before.
ECUFLASH:
$450 Custom tune with dyno time
$350 For retune if I tuned you before.

^^Hate to bump an old thread but I would like an answer on this. Does Ecutek really have anything worthwhile over Ecuflash? If so what advantages and are they very significant?
Just to let everyone know Iveytune is now flashing the evo 5-9 models, and now an authorized Ecutek dealer.
I feel the ECUTEK offers alot of good features and flexibility not offered in other systems.
AWD dyno services Mustang or Dynojet available.
Update now doing ECUFLASH also
