UTEC problems

Whats up with the UTEC? Why are these things popping up like crazy for sale? I was thinking about switching to the UTEC, but I am now not so sure.

It is likely many are switching to the MAFTPro unit.

I saw one on the dyno Saturday and just hated it. Poor results by two tuners also (not us). The boost control was not impressive either.

MAFTPro looks interesting. How does it perform. User friendly?

Mostly because people are getting tired of waiting for a new update. A lot of guys don't like that they started on a new Z system before an update.

I just can't wait for it to finally be released. Value of UTEC's are going to go way up.

Yeah I'm hoping that's true. By that time it will have only been about 15 months since their last update.

The Utec is not a bad unit by any means, i love the damn thing, its just that newer and better things are coming out lately, I would agree that the MAFTPro is a great unit, but i don't want to switch over b/c i just bought the Utec 4 months ago and im not ready for a change yet. I am on the other hand only going to wait until march for new updates b/c as soon as it starts getting nice outside i will be driving a lot more. If nothing comes out there will be yet another Utec for sale on Evom, i don't want to, but i'll have to with my future plans with the car

I just checked the 350z UTEC out on their website.. If the features make it into ours, it'll be a pretty nice firmware upgrade.
